Our mission at Kwong Hing Motor works is to ensure your classic Vehicle is restored to the highest of standards.

We take onboard your vehicle regardless of what stage it’s at, no job is too big or too small for us. We take the most upper pride and joy in all our projects, and we are very transparent and honest with all our customers that come to us.

At Kwong Hing motors our full restoration follows a three-part stage approach.

Inspection:

We begin by doing a full visual check. If dismantling is required, we will have to inform the customer before doing that approach. From there, we can assess what needs to be done to get the vehicle back to its glory days.

Planning and Research:

We then create a list of what is required underlining what’s urgent and what’s minor. we do all our research indoors using dealer catalogues and diagrams to provide the most accurate quote to our customers. We then send our list to our respectable suppliers who will carefully provide the best quote for our customer. Once we have everything planed out, we create a plan of action with our customers to make sure all our customer understands the project of getting the vehicle to the standards that they have requested for.

Execution:

Finally, we report back to the customer with our suggested actions and estimated costs. Once we have an agreement, we can start ordering parts and begin the restoration on their vehicle. Our detailed and precise process means our projects are always done to precision and efficiently. We update our customers accordingly and provided regular updates when required. We always try to provide a time frame however some projects require more time than others due to the age and the condition on the vehicle. Once the restoration is completed, we invite our customers to do a final check and have a test drive to make sure that the restoration is up to the standards that we have promised. At the end of the day, we want Your pride and joy to leave our garage running and looking as glorious as when it left the manufacture.

The importance of an Engine Restoration:

The engine is the heart of the vehicle, for that reason doing engine restoration needs to have dedicated time when restoring. As the engine has many moving parts which include, the pistons, crankshaft and rods. While these bearings are designed to last thousands of kilometers, over time, they experience wear. if your vehicle isn’t regularly serviced you can cause drastic issues, especially as vehicle gets older.

A common sign that your vehicle needs an engine rebuild is a high level of oil consumption and excessive white smoke emitted from the exhaust, especially when the engine is cold. This usually indicates your vehicle’s piston rings have become worn. Other common signs include metal shavings in the engine oil caused by dangerously worn bearings and knocking or chattering sounds coming from the engine bearings.

If you are experiencing these symptoms then this is where we come in and bring you reassurance and a peace of mind that your vehicle will be treated with the utmost respect and care to bring your classic vintage car to life again and give it the well needed TLC it deserves. We will always go the extra mile and use the best equipment and parts to ensure your classic motor can run smoothly and properly.
